KnowBe4 recently joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA). In addition, the training specialist will integrate several Microsoft security products into its own Security Coach program.

According to the provider of security awareness and simulated phishing training, programs and solutions, joining the Microsoft-led security alliance makes sense. According to Microsoft, KnowBe4, like other members, wants to help customers predict, detect and respond to security threats faster.

Integration Microsoft solutions

More than participation in the security alliance, KnowBe4 also considers the integration of two Microsoft Security solutions important. Specifically, this involves security knowledge about Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Defender for Apps. To this end, an API is being developed together with Microsoft to connect existing security systems to the KnowBe4 platform.

KnowBe4 is integrating knowledge about these products, among other things, into its SecurityCoach solution. This solution aims to develop a strong security culture within companies using real-time coaching of end users on risky online behavior.

The tool uses customers’ existing security stack, which observes risky behavior, to set up short and powerful real-time coaching sessions. During these sessions, security specialists at a company are given the opportunity to give the coached employees the right tips using so-called SecurityTips.
