Palo Alto Networks is introducing Cortex eXtended Managed Detection and Response (XMDR) Specialization. This will allow Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP) to link the Cortex XDR product to their own services, making it easier to offer SOC services.

With the introduction of the Cortex eXtended Managed Detection and Response (XMDR) Specialization in the NextWave partner program, the security specialist wants to make it easier for MSSP partners to govern incidents and protect customers and proprietary networks from cyber threats. Above all, this solution should help MSSP partners offer SOC services to their end customers.

Protection capabilities

The Cortex eXtended Managed Detection and Response (XMDR) Specialization solution helps NextWave MSP partner program participants combine Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex XDR solution with their own managed services. As a result, MSP’s can offer streamlined SOC services to their customers and quickly address threats.

The combination of technology and services delivers visibility, detection and response capabilities across the entire network environment, endpoints and cloud assets. It also promises strong protection and detection capabilities against cyber-attacks. Furthermore, the introduction provides customers with certified Cortex XMDR SOC analysts and extensive security expertise.

Requirements for partners

To obtain this solution and the associated specialization status, partners must meet several requirements. For example, they must have Cortex XDR-certified SOC analysts and ‘threat hunters’ available 24×7. In addition, partners’ technical and sales capabilities are certified through exams.
