A Pindrop survey uncovers users’ annoyance at using traditional methods of account authentication.

Conventional password authentication and configuration consist of numerous authentication steps to ensure the right person is accessing an account. When resetting passwords, users are required to respond to several questions and verifications. According to a new Pindrop survey, roughly 57 percent of consumers are tired of the process.

Widespread frustration

Consumers expressed frustration at authentication hurdles. Many described password fatigue as a pressing issue. Pindrop concludes that current password authentication systems are outdated.

The organization suggests using voice authenticating technology to bridge the gap.
