Noname Security joins F5 Technology Alliance

API security specialist Noname Security is partnering with F5. The provider specializes in load balancing and infrastructure services. New integrations support joint customers.

Noname Security was founded in 2020. In the past two years, its market value rose to more than a billion dollars. The organization develops an API security platform. The platform secures API traffic and advises developers on best practices.

Today, Noname Security announced a new partnership. The organization joined F5’s partner program, a specialist in load balancing, high availability and API management.

The collaboration is twofold. The first half revolves around integrations. Noname Security and F5 developed integrations to support joint customers, which can now consult either organization to troubleshoot issues or seek advice. Noname’s API security platform interfaces with F5’s Local Traffic Management and NGINX system.

The second component revolves around recognition. F5 partners with the world’s leading technology companies. Noname Security joins the ranks. “We are now part of an elite group of technologies”, shares a spokesperson. “AWS, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft and others, all of whom developed integrations with F5’s technology. F’5s recognition of Noname Security speaks to the capabilities of the Noname API Security Platform. The new partnership means customers can trust us to handle network traffic and data maturely.”

Noname Security

Noname Security is expanding rapidly. Near the end of 2021, the organization closed a 120 million euros investment round. Last month, Noname Security announced a partnership with iSOC24, a Dutch security specialist. The organization wants to grow in the Benelux.

Traditional API security measures are outdated. Though Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) and API Gateways can intercept suspicious traffic, they have no sight of API configurations, which is where threats can arise. Noname Security’s platform provides what WAFs and gateways lack. The platform concerns itself with traffic, configurations, developers and infrastructure.
