Visma strengthens presence in France through acquisition of Chaintrust

Norwegian company Visma is acquiring Paris-based Chaintrust to achieve further growth in the French market.

Visma is already present in France but wants to build a comprehensive ecosystem in the country that meets the various needs of accounting firms. Chaintrust will contribute to this as it specializes in automating and streamlining accounting processes, which promises to reduce the amount of repetitive and time-consuming tasks.

Joining forces

With the acquisition of Chaintrust, Visma also aims to strengthen its Inqom software, which came under the Visma banner in 2022. Olivier Constant, Business Area Director for the SMB Segment, stressed that by integrating Chaintrust’s expertise in accounting automation with Inqom’s accounting and tax production software, Visma should be the partner of choice for French companies.

Chaintrust will remain as a brand. The development and marketing of the products will thus remain the responsibility of Chaintrust. There will be a few changes in the management team so that Chaintrust’s identity and corporate values will be preserved.

CEO Mikael Gandon of Chaintrust emphasizes that joining the Visma Group will provide new growth opportunities in terms of development and innovation through collaboration with other Visma companies.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
