Release of macOS Sequoia brought forward to September

According to rumors, the operating system macOS Sequoia may already be scheduled for next month. It will probably come out at the same time as iOS 18, tvOS 18, and watchOS 11.

The release of macOS 15 or the Sequoia version in the month of September is remarkable, indicates 9to5mac. This is because macOS releases usually occur in October-November, at the same time as the performance of new MacBook models.

This year, the tech giant would like the release of macOS Sequoia to coincide with that of iOS 18 and other operating systems such as tvOS 18 and watchOS 11. This would allow the promised cross-platform features to be released.

Cross-platform functionality

Among these cross-platform features is iPhone Mirroring, which allows end users to control and manage an iPhone through a Mac. In addition, macOS Sequoia also has functionality such as a new Passwords app that syncs passwords from iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.

MacOS Sequoia initially does not yet have the Apple Intelligence AI functionality. For iOS, the functionality is also expected to be released later than September in iOS 18.1. However, this functionality is expected in the first update to version 15.1 of Sequoia.
