Accenture is acquiring the Dutch SAP consulting firm McCoy. The company, with over 380 experts, will be integrated into Accenture Edge, the mid-market division that Accenture launched this year.
McCoy was founded in 2012 and, in addition to its Dutch headquarters, has offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company designs, implements, and manages SAP environments: ERP, data, managed services, and enterprise integration. As an SAP Gold Partner, it serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, the public sector, utilities, and retail.
McCoy will be integrated into Accenture Edge, a separate business unit established in 2026 to serve companies with revenue ranging from approximately $300 million to $3 billion. This unit has its own operating model and service offerings, distinct from the large-enterprise work Accenture is traditionally known for.
Mid-market as a new focus area
SAP is one of the key partners within that Edge ecosystem. Among other things, McCoy will contribute to Advance, a joint initiative between Accenture and SAP offering off-the-shelf service packages for mid-sized organizations.
“SAP modernization and AI are increasingly becoming part of the same strategic agenda for mid-market companies looking to accelerate growth,” says Nicole van Det, CEO of Accenture Netherlands and the Nordics. She cites McCoy’s SAP expertise, client relationships, and delivery model as valuable additions.
McCoy brings its own accelerators to the table: SmartERP, Smart Extensions, Smart Re-use, and McCoy Integration Studio. This tooling is designed to standardize implementations and shorten the turnaround time for SAP projects.
Co-founder Tom van den Berg highlights the implications for the workforce, who, he says, will gain access to international projects and new expertise. The transaction is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approval.
