Swedish company IFS has announced that, like many of its competitors, it will be offering its products in the cloud. IFS Cloud brings together IFS’ ERP, CRM, HCM, EAM and FSM packages under one platform.

With IFS Cloud, IFS aims to give all of its software a common user experience, data model, and consistent support offerings. It also makes it easier for customers to add new components to their package.

Not location-dependent

The platform is not dependent on specific locations. IFS says it is designed for the cloud, but can also run perfectly well in other locations, such as on-premises environments. In all cases, IFS customers have access to the same capabilities. IFS also promises that IFS Cloud will make it easier to purchase, implement, and update the software you use. Every two years IFS will release a set of new features, giving customers the choice of whether or not to upgrade.

IFS has also made architectural improvements to make its packages more suitable for modern techniques such as machine learning, augmented reality, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

Delivering value to customers

“Digital transformation is not easy. Most businesses are complex and have complicated value chains. That’s why few organisations succeed and even fewer vendors offer the tools to really make it happen. At IFS, our primary goal is to deliver value to our customers, and we want to provide them with a clear path to evolve into new business models, compete and win,” said Darren Roos, CEO of IFS.

“Customers tell us that their main goals are to increase efficiency, manage costs and develop better products and services. We know that the cloud is a prerequisite for achieving this. Digital innovations need to be easily deployed and embedded into daily business operations.”
