Acer has announced several new devices via an online press conference. The collection of business laptops and Chromebooks are said to be ideally suited for hybrid work and environmental friendliness.

Firstly, the Taiwanese company is revamping its existing TravelMate series with the P2, P4 and P6. This line Acer aims mainly at business customers. The flagship model features the latest 13th-generation Intel i7 processors. Users can opt for a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display. This is not common on laptops in the business segment. Below that is the P4, with the same size screen. However, this version can only be equipped with a screen up to a resolution of 2.2K and without OLED technology. Instead, this variant’s unique selling point is mainly the 65 Wh battery. The basic P2 model can be configured in both 14- and 16-inch versions and has a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Military class

Acer says it has equipped the laptops with “military class” durability standards. Not the first time a company has surfaced with this marketing rhetoric. At least the TUF line of Asus products as well as MSI were ahead of the curve in this regard.

On the Chromebook front, Acer is introducing the Chromebook 714. Once again, durability and environmental friendliness are essential. The 14-inch screen has a resolution of 1920×1200. Acer claims the new Chromebook includes a sharp 2K webcam with high-quality audio.
