Mendix is organizing a global hackathon for low-code applications. The competition is held in September and focuses on solutions for charity.

The hackathon — MxHacks 2022, Low-Code for Good — consists of three separate events covering the regions of North and South America, EMEA and APAC. In each region, participants work on a challenge for one of three non-profit organizations selected by Mendix.

Use cases can vary. For example, a mobile app that provides refugees with a secure digital identity or helps people in sparsely populated areas to quickly contact a doctor.

Prize and implementation

Besides a prize, the winners get the opportunity to implement their solutions. Moreover, winners can enter into long-term relationships with one of the non-profit organisations.

Participating is free. Developers can register for the hackathon via the event page. Each team consists of four members at max. Solo developers can participate on their own or join a matchmaking session to form a team before the event.

The hackathon will take place on 23 and 24 September 2022 at four locations: Boston, London, Rotterdam and Singapore. Participants can also take part remotely.
