Verizon Business just opened its London Hub, where it showcases the latest 5G solutions. The hub is aimed at customers in Europe and Asia Pacific, while Verizon Business has to ambition to expand its presence in the regions.

The vendor describes the London Hub as a customisable, modular space, allowing customers to manipulate the environment to suit their needs. The facility has multi-camera setups and is integrated with videoconferencing-app BlueJeans to connect customer teams across the globe and support live events with remote participants.

Techzine just visited the hub, where Verizon showcases different demonstrations, including a higher density of retail and manufacturing demos. It also aims to help other verticals, such as healthcare.

Creative, free-thinking facility

Sanjiv Gossain, GM and Head of EMEA at Verizon Business, describes it the hub as a creative, free-thinking facility. “The goal is to put customers and partners in an environment, removed from the outside world, that inspires and promotes collaboration. Private 5G’s applications and benefits are near-infinite, but sometimes it’s easier to experience an innovation than it is to describe it. Seeing the use cases in immersive scenarios is both compelling and instructive.”

At the heart of the London Hub are a range of experiences leveraging the power of 5G and Mobile Edge Compute. These experiences provide insights into AI, computer vision and extended reality technologies.
