Image analysis allows the camera to observe patients and detect high-risk situations remotely.

It makes the Axis Q9307-LV Dome (with 5-megapixel video) suitable for hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Through AI, the camera can indicate when patients have fallen. Audio detection is also used to detect coughing and raised voice sounds. The Q9307-LV Dome uses Axis Object Analytics to estimate patient situations. For example, a patient who has not yet been allowed to leave his bed can be informed through the camera about emergency measures and help on the way.

Axis can notify care staff about alarming situations so they can respond quickly. If a care worker is not necessarily needed physically on-site, they can also use a built-in speaker. A microphone system is built into the camera so the patient can respond.

Healthcare requirements

To make the camera truly suitable for healthcare, Axis has optimized the Q9307-LV Dome to maintain privacy under the GDPR. The device is equipped with Axis Live Privacy Shield masking software, which blurs the faces of patients, family members and healthcare workers. The audio analytics does not store audio files. Furthermore, patient LED indicators indicate what the Q9307-LV Dome is being used for.

Consideration was also given to meeting healthcare sterility and cleanliness requirements. The camera withstands daily cleaning with isopropanol, sodium hypochlorite, and hydrogen peroxide, but these substances will not affect the Q9307-LV Dome.

The Axis Q9307-LV Dome is available immediately.
