GTT is adding HPE Networking SSE and managed LAN/WLAN to its portfolio. With this move, GTT is building a fully managed, single-vendor SASE solution on its own Tier 1 network, aimed at multinational companies.
The announcement centers on a combination of the GTT Envision platform and managed LAN/WLAN services, delivered via HPE Aruba Central. This should enable companies to connect users, devices, and applications more easily and securely. According to GTT, demand for scalable, AI-powered networks is growing rapidly, driven by the rise of AI and evolving security threats.
A new development is the addition of HPE Networking SSE to the existing GTT Secure Connect offering. This is no small step. GTT and HPE have, in fact, been collaborating for more than ten years on managed SD-WAN via HPE Networking EdgeConnect. The expansion now integrates HPE’s SD-WAN and cloud security into a Zero Trust architecture intended to reduce vendor sprawl and simplify management.
HPE’s security foundation
HPE laid the groundwork for its SSE capabilities with the acquisition of Axis Security for 471 million euros. Since then, HPE has been working on a unified SASE platform. “Enterprise networking is becoming increasingly complex with more traffic, more distribution and more threats,” says Fletcher Keister, Chief Product Technology Officer at GTT. According to him, the Envision platform is designed to support best-of-breed solutions such as HPE Networking.
GTT Secure Connect with HPE SSE is now available. The expanded LAN/WLAN portfolio will follow later this year for enterprise customers.
