Micro Focus and Jaguar have announced that the companies will collaborate in Formula E. Jaguar will use Micro Focus’ software for data analysis and security.
The two companies announced their collaboration in a press release. In it, Micro Focus says it will provide Jaguar with subsidiary Vertica’s technology to apply advanced data analytics and machine learning to the vast amount of data the race team collects.
Micro Focus is also taking on cyber security for Jaguar Racing. In doing so, it wants to look into possible gaps in the security of the Formula E team. Micro Focus will also provide the resources and support to help the team with software development.

Since 2016, the team has been active in Formula E, where in the past season, the team achieved seventh place in the championship.
