Fortinet has given substantial updates to its network security and security fabric portfolio.

Updates to the secure networking portfolio primarily include the FortiManager central management solution. FortiManager now integrates FortiSASE, Fortinet’s single-verdor SASE solution. This should provide consistent security, management and analytics for the entire hybrid network.

Other new features are available for the Hybrid Mesh Firewall portfolio, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, the Universal ZTNA solution for remote employees and campus locations, and Fortinet WLAN/LAN for branch offices and campus locations.

Security Fabric portfolio updates

Fortinet further introduced updates to its security fabric portfolio. For example, new products and features for advanced threat prevention and providing coordinated responses for a so-called self-defending ecosystem. More specifically, the new updates should provide real-time response and automation functionality, turning detection into real-time protection.

Solutions within this portfolio that have received new functionality include FortiEDR, FortiXDR, FortiRecon and FortiDeceptor.

A new solution within the security fabric portfolio is FortiNDR Cloud. This solution provides AI-based technology for breach analysis and protection.

Furthermore, another enhancement to the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Certification program has been made so that customers and partners can ensure their employees have even more skills when it comes to cybersecurity.
