Fortinet recently introduced its generative AI assistant Fortinet Advisor. With this tool, companies can investigate and counter cyber threats faster, the company claims.
Fortinet’s now-released generative AI assistant works closely with other security solutions from the security and networking specialist.
Integration is possible with the FortiSIEM SIEM solution and the FortiSOAR SOAR solution. Fortinet Advisor helps companies analyze security incidents through integrations with these specific solutions. Within both FortiSIEM and FortiSOAR, the generative AI assistant is said to provide clear summaries, context and potential insights into the impact of detected threats on the organization. Furthermore, the AI tool can provide support in building complex research questions and creating efficient plans for resolving found threats.
More effective SecOps teams
Ultimately, the tool should help reduce the time required to discover and counter cyber threats. This, in turn, should improve the efficiency and effectiveness of SecOps teams in countering cyber security threats and incidents.
The generative AI tool is not the only AI solution and application Fortinet offers its customers. In total, the security and networking specialist offers about 40 different AI solutions. Other security solution providers are taking similar steps and are also integrating AI where possible.
