The company will integrate its access control technology via Google’s BeyondCorp Alliance integrations.
This week Lookout announced it has entered an expanded partnership with Google Cloud to deliver endpoint-to-cloud security to organisations around the world. Under the expanded relationship, Lookout has delivered BeyondCorp Alliance product integrations and debuted its Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security platform on Google Cloud Marketplace.
BeyondCorp is Google’s implementation of the zero-trust model, a security framework that involves shifting access controls from the perimeter to individual devices and users, enabling employees to work securely from any location. Lookout has been a member of the BeyondCorp Alliance since early 2019.
“Our strategic partnership with Google Cloud will deliver industry-leading endpoint-to-cloud security,” said David Richardson, Vice President of Product, Lookout. “Enabling productivity from any endpoint in any location is critical in today’s remote-work environment. We are proud to deliver on the BeyondCorp mission to accelerate and simplify the adoption of a Zero Trust model that enables organizations to stay secure, agile and productive.”
Delivering security across the Google app suite
The integration with Lookout Continuous Conditional Access allows users to continuously assess the security posture of Android, Chrome OS and iOS endpoints. The service delivers the data via an application programming interface to Google Workspace or Google Cloud’s BeyondCorp Enterprise enabling dynamic modification of access controls.
The integration of Lookout Continuous Conditional Access and Google Cloud Identity protects corporate data in Google Cloud’s BeyondCorp Enterprise and Google Workspace applications including Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides. Continuous Conditional Access is a functionality within the Modern Endpoint Protection module of the Lookout Security Platform. It is available in the Lookout Essentials package.
Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security is also now available on Google Cloud Marketplace. This supports a single billing arrangement using Google Cloud committed spend.
