Acronis recently introduced Advanced Security + EDR for its Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform. The solution should provide new insights into threat detection, isolation and response while simplifying the use of EDR.
According to the security vendor, many companies struggle to protect endpoints from advanced threats due to the complexity of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
Acronis aims to put an end to this with Acronis Advanced Security + EDR for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The tool offers a new method for discovering, isolating and resolving endpoint threats. EDR environments simplify as a result.
Acronis EDR
The solution offers machine learning-based event correlation capabilities. The attack chains discovered by the tool are mapped in accordance with MITRE ATT&CK.
The solution features integrated responses to discovered attacks, including attack-specific rollbacks that can be executed with a single click. In addition, users can investigate, resolve, repair and close security holes. The functionality is directly integrated with other features of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform. As a result, measures implemented with the new tool are implemented throughout the platform.
The service is manageable through the Acronis console, which should reduce complexity and increase cost savings. Customers can benefit from the features without deploying additional agents or integrations with third-party applications.
MSPs
Acronis Advanced Security + EDR is part of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform. This platform offers companies, including managed service providers (MSPs), holistic security based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework Core.
According to Acronis, the new functionality is an attractive option for MSPs looking to expand their Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offerings at lucrative rates and margins. The new solution will allow them to compete with dedicated security vendors through competitive prices, Acronis said.
Partners will have access to the Acronis Advanced Security + EDR early access program starting next month. General availability is expected in the first quarter of 2023.
