Salesforce recently acquired Troops.ai. The technology allows integrations of Salesforce’s solutions and Slack.
The acquisition provides Salesforce with more functionality to retrieve and update data from all of Salesforce’s other software systems. According to Salesforce, Troops.ai makes the integration of Salesforce and Slack easier and more intelligent, allowing for better collaboration. Sales teams do not have to continuously switch between Slack and individual Salesforce solutions when collaborating.
Expansion opportunities
With the acquisition of Troops.ai, Salesforce wants to further establish Slack as a cornerstone for the integrated use of its various solutions. According to both parties, the acquisition should be finalised by the end of this quarter. Subsequently, the functionality of Troops.ai is integrated into Slack.
