DataBahn has closed a 40 million dollar Series B round. The Dallas company will spend the money on R&D for its agentic data control plane, bringing total funding to 59 million dollars.
The raise, announced today, follows a period of rapid growth. DataBahn reports more than 400 percent year-over-year revenue growth, 180 percent net revenue retention and zero customer churn. It counts Fortune 100 companies in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and transportation among its customers.
With the new funding, DataBahn wants to build out what it calls an agentic data control plane. This is a layer that sits in front of security platforms, data warehouses and AI systems. Instead of simply moving data from source to destination, DataBahn says its solution continuously reduces, enriches and routes only the telemetry needed for real-time operations, pulling in extra context on demand.
From pipeline to control plane
The pitch responds to a change in how enterprise data gets consumed. AI agents, copilots and autonomous applications depend on contextualized data that has also been vetted for accuracy beforehand. At the same time, cloud egress fees, storage requirements and AI inference costs keep climbing, so one has to be minimalist when it comes to moving data around. Traditional one-directional pipelines were not built for this.
“Traditional data pipelines were built to move data. AI is changing every enterprise application, and AI is only as good as the enterprise data it can understand,” said Nanda Santhana, CEO and co-founder of DataBahn.
Building on earlier moves
The Series B builds on steady product work. In the middle of last year, DataBahn introduced a unified Smart Agent that collects endpoint telemetry across security and observability teams, using a lightweight agent or an agentless “phantom collector” to cut agent sprawl.
Back in March, the company also deepened its integration with Microsoft Sentinel. Its AI connectors normalize and route telemetry from more than 500 sources, while the Cruz AI engine decides what goes to the analytics tier and what heads to long-term storage. Customers there reported ingestion savings of up to 60 percent.
DataBahn says the new funding will expand the platform to serve organizations of every size, from global enterprises to mid-market businesses.
