Celonis has established its own center of excellence, Celonis Labs, to develop new solutions. The research center is headed by SVP Eugenio Cassiano.

With the creation of its own innovation center, the specialist in process mining, execution management and object process mining aims to further streamline its own research. Celonis Labs is a separate branch within the company and focuses entirely on developing and accelerating new technological solutions and applications.

Combination between R&D and free development

Concretely, Celonis Labs combines R&D work with the possibility for employees to think freely about the ‘art of the possible’, als Celonis calls it. The latter means, among other things, that teams in Celonis Labs can go all out with new ideas and technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), as well as with augmented and virtual reality.

Eventually, this should yield products and services for process mining, execution management, and object process mining that will provide value to end users over the next ten, fifty, or even one hundred years.

Eugenio Cassiano heads Celonis Labs

The new Celonis Labs is led by the also new SVP Eugenio Cassiano. Previously, Cassiano worked at SAP as Global Head Solution Management – SAP Customer Experience. Eugenio Cassiano is seen as an innovation expert and therefore the most suitable person to lead the new Celonis branch.

““My ultimate mission is to raise Celonis’ customer value to the power of 10. Not only thinking 10 years ahead, but also amplifying our execution management innovations by a factor of 10”, Cassiano said. “Celonis Labs will focus on moonshots, experiments, and R&D to unlock the world’s processes, saving billions of dollars in corporate inefficiencies, and pioneering the shift to a more sustainable future.”

The launch of Celonis Labs is the second substantial addition to Celonis in a month. Recently, the company appointed Wil van der Aalst as Chief Scientist.
