The updated P- and S-series monitors focus on work and entertainment, respectively. Dell promises that the monitors increase productivity and user comfort.

The P Series is available in 24 inch and 27 inch sizes. The refresh rate of the P2725HE, P2425HE and P2425E is 100Hz, significantly improving over the usual 60Hz. Higher refresh rates are always possible, but responsiveness improves significantly with these specifications. The resolution of the displays is 1920×1200 and the technology used is IPS.

ComfortView Plus is included in the P series and reduces blue light to 35 percent, which significantly helps combat eye strain. The 1500:1 contrast ratio also helps with this. Although Dell also touts the 99 percent sRGB coverage as a comfort option, this will be especially important to professionals for colour-correct editing work. Dell additionally boasts about a thin bezel.

I/O consists of Ethernet connectivity, USB-C and several USB-A ports. With the integration of USB-C, Dell meets the demand for easier connection to peripherals.

European prices weren’t shared by Dell just yet, but the release date is already announced: March 26. In America, the P2425HE costs $349.99, the P2425E $537.49 and the P2725HE $418.74.

Dell S Series

In addition to the P-series, Dell is introducing new variants of the S-series. There are many similarities with the P monitors and the S2425H/HS and S2725H/HS/DS. The 24-inch variants offer 1080p resolution while the 27-inch options are also available in 1440p (QHD).

ComfortView Plus is also present here, as are thin bezels, 100Hz image refresh rate, 99 percent sRGB color coverage and 1500:1 contrast ratio. The S Series is distinguished from the P Series primarily by featuring integrated 5W speakers.

The S Series monitors are predominantly cheaper than the P Series, with U.S. prices between $149.99 and $229.99. They are available slightly earlier than the P variants: the five models launch on March 21.
