Dynabook is launching updated configurations of the Satellite PRo C50-B laptop. The releases feature AMD 5-series and 7-series processors. This should significantly improve performance and suitability for business users.

The new Dynabook Satellite Pro C50-B laptop configurations will be available starting February 2022. Although its weight of 1.9 kilograms is somewhat beefy, the components are powerful. Depending on the configuration, the Dynabook Satellite Pro C50-B laptop comes with a AMD Ryzen 5 5600U or Ryzen 7 5800U processor.

The model features up to 32GB of DDR4 memory in two configurable slots. SSD storage capacity goes up to 512GB. According to Dynabook, the releases run up to 10.8 hours on a full battery.

Connectivity and security

USB-C is included for charging and connecting devices such as displays. Furthermore, the model features a HDMI port, USB Type-A 3.1 and a MicroSD card reader.

Surprisingly, wifi 6 support is absent. The model runs on Wi-Fi 802.11 AC (wifi 5), Bluetooth 5.0 and a Gigabit LAN port.

In terms of security, the laptop features a firmware-based Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0. The module has become an industry standard and ensures that sensitive information is encrypted on board the device. Additionally, the Dynabook Satellite Pro C50-B laptop comes with password measures to protect against unauthorized access.

Somewhat beefy

The 15.6-inch screen comes in a LCD FHD or HD variant. The keyboard features a numeric pad. Naturally, the model is equipped with a HD webcam, stereo speakers and an integrated microphone.
