Pega GenAI Blueprint helps design applications

Pega GenAI Blueprint helps design applications

Pegasystems is introducing Pega GenAI Blueprint, a development tool that combines best practices with generative AI to speed up the software design process.

Users initially enter a brief description of an app’s purpose into Pega GenAI Blueprint. The tool then guides users in identifying and designing workflow elements. The goal of determining the most optimal design is to avoid time-intensive deliberations between team members. The blueprints include all phases and steps of the workflow, data models and objects, and user experiences for all workflow personas.

In doing so, Pega relies on the knowledge it has gained in various industries. For example, the tool includes best practices from financial and business services, government and telecommunications. These are combined with the capabilities of Azure OpenAI.

Collaborate and implement

Software architects can give collaborators access to modify, add, delete or save workflow stages for each blueprint. They can also edit stages, data models or user personas and share them as PDF documents. Better alignment during the initial design phase should reduce errors and decrease delays in later construction and implementation phases.

When the app is finally ready, Pega GenAI automatically generates the application structure. The development tool also guides users through the final steps, such as linking to existing data sources and finalizing the interface layout. The blueprint is customizable even after implementation.
