Microsoft pushes Dynamic Update for Windows 11 24H2

Microsoft pushes Dynamic Update for Windows 11 24H2

Microsoft has been more or less quietly pushing a series of new updates for Windows 10 and 11 in recent weeks. Yesterday’s latest Dynamic Update for Windows 11 24H2 also targets the new Copilot+ PCs.

Microsoft appears busy pushing several non-essential Windows updates to its end users. These updates are outside the security-focused Patch Tuesday updates.

Recently, the tech giant released a so-called Dynamic Update update for Windows 11 24H2. This update offers enhancements for Windows setup binaries or any file that setup uses to push for feature updates in Windows 11 24H2.

These include packages with fixes for Setup.exe binaries and SafeOS updates for Windows Recovery Environment. These dynamic updates are not pushed through Windows Update and must be manually downloaded from the Windows Update Catalog site. The update is available for both x86 and Arm64/AMD64 Copilot+ PCs.

Series of smaller updates

In late July, Microsoft released a new non-security C-release Windows preview update for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. This preview showcased new upcoming functionality for Windows.

A few days later, another update was released for Windows 11 24H2 and Copilot + PCs. Again, a little later, another update was implemented for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 that forcibly installed new Windows feature updates.
