Atlassian expects cloud outage to last two more weeks

Around 400 customers have been unable to use Atlassian’s services since 5 April. The downtime could last for another two weeks, the DevOps specialist says.

A script maintenance error is preventing access since April 5. Users can no longer access Jira Software, Jira Work Management, Jira Service Management, Confluence and Opsgenie Cloud.

Major recovery operation

Atlassian says it is working on a fix, but could take up to two weeks before all customer access is restored. Atlassian is forced to rebuild every customer site.

Slow process

All corresponding data has to be reverified. Though the latter ensures the integrity of rebuilt sites, Atlassian notes that reverifying is causing most of the delay.

Atlassian promises to closely inform customers on the recovery progress. To date, about 35 percent of affected customers are back online.
