Lenovo introduces AI Express, a faster path to the Lenovo Hybrid AI Factory with Nvidia. Companies can choose from three validated configurations, which are shipped as early as 15 business days after ordering. This includes services and support to get AI workloads into production faster.
Lenovo aims to remove the barriers that prevent organizations from moving from AI experimentation to production. According to the company, long lead times and complex integrations are the biggest obstacles. With AI Express, developed in collaboration with Nvidia, Lenovo combines rapid access to AI capacity with pre-validated configurations. Companies start with a solution that fits their current workloads and budget and expand it later.
Ashley Gorakhpurwalla, President of the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Lenovo, says that AI Express offers customers an accelerated path to AI infrastructure “while mitigating the risk of overbuilding or costly delays.”
Three sizes
The smallest configuration is available in as little as 15 days. It runs on a ThinkSystem SR650a V4 with two Nvidia RTX 6000 PRO Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. It is designed for inference for dozens of users, with models ranging from 7 to 70 billion parameters and speeds over 30 tokens per second.
The slightly more advanced variant (available in 20 days or more) uses a ThinkSystem SR675 V3 with eight of the same GPUs. It supports hundreds of users, agentic AI, and models with up to 400 billion parameters. For the largest configuration, available starting at 25 days, Lenovo deploys a ThinkSystem SR680a V4 with Nvidia HGX B300. This supports models with up to one trillion parameters for thousands of users.
In all configurations, organizations can choose between AMD and Intel CPUs. Organizations can also supplement the hardware with Red Hat AI Factory with Nvidia or Nvidia AI Enterprise. To protect AI applications, data, models, and pipelines, Lenovo also offers Veeam Kasten.
AI Express includes guidance on identifying use cases, validating ROI through proofs of concept, and optimizing GPU environments. A new addition is Premier Support Plus for Servers, which is designed to detect issues earlier through proactive and predictive support.
Lenovo also makes AI Express available through its global partner network, within the Lenovo 360 framework. Availability, terms, and ordering processes vary by region.
