HPE added new services to GreenLake. New capabilities include backup & recovery, HPC and Network as a Service (NaaS) from subsidiary Aruba.
HPE continues to expand its GreenLake portfolio with as-a-service solutions. With the arrival of GreenLake for Aruba Networking, HPE now offers Network-as-a-Service (NaaS). A total of eight services allow customers to purchase and deploy NaaS. According to HPE, network spending can be controlled while ensuring that network environments are on par with business requirements.
Data services
For data services, HPE GreenLake Data Services was expanded to include storage and data protection options. Furthermore, GreenLake Block Storage is HPE’s first block storage-as-service solution. The cloud-based service focuses on 100 percent data availability.
The HPE Backup and Recovery Service provides backups of virtual machines in hybrid cloud environments. The service also offers ransomware recovery through AWS.
HPC options
In addition, HPE GreenLake for HPC features new integrations of Nvidia GPUs and the HPE Apollo 6500 Gen10 computer. Nvidia’s NVLink interconnect technology is supported as well. Another addition to HPE GreenLake for HPC is HPE Slingshot’s high-performance networking technology. The latter delivers Ethernet-based networking for HPC environments. Lastly, parallel file system storage and API interfaces were introduced to connect private and public HPC cloud environments.
