With Firefly Services and Custom Models, Adobe aims to help companies create personalized content.
The new services were unveiled at the Adobe Summit. Firefly Services builds on the generative AI tool that allows users to generate an image with a text prompt. Firefly Services gives companies access to 20 generative and creative APIs, tools and services that take over manual work. These include resizing assets for different channels, expanding backgrounds in images and replacing language in an image for localization.
“Teams can generate new content, make all the necessary edits such as resizing, replacing objects or backgrounds, and then assemble the content into finished assets that are ready for delivery,” Adobe describes. This should help support marketing needs for creative professionals, where personalization is often in demand. This applies, for example, to images posted on social media.
Custom Models
The other new service also seeing the light of day at the Adobe Summit, Custom Models, helps train Firefly models. With the custom models, it should be possible to match the output to the company’s brand as much as possible, including objects, backgrounds and style in an image. To this end, Adobe allows fine-tuning of the Firefly model by allowing 10 to 20 images. Governance and security mechanisms should ensure that branded content, data and workflows stay within the organization.
