Oracle brings Gemini models to Fusion Apps and NetSuite

Oracle and Google Cloud have widened their partnership. Gemini models are heading to Oracle’s enterprise applications portfolio, including Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications. Oracle also plans to use Gemini for embedded AI in Fusion Cloud Applications and NetSuite, giving customers more model choice.

Previous to the announcement, customers were already able to reach Gemini through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Enterprise AI. However, the models will now be available directly inside Oracle AI Agent Studio, the development platform where organizations build, connect, and run agentic applications using Oracle, partner, and external agents.

Two specific models are named. Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite is pitched as a high-efficiency option for price-performance, while Gemini 3.5 Flash targets more complex reasoning and tasks such as video and presentation creation. Both sit alongside models from other providers already available in the platform. The two models are competing against pretty strong competition in terms of efficiency and efficacy, although Google’s focus of late has been around specifically these smaller models.

Oracle previously agreed to offer Google’s Gemini models through its Generative AI service, starting with Gemini 2.5. That announcement itself came shortly after a multi-cloud partnership between OCI and Google Cloud had been outlined.

Choice across models

Model choice is the recurring theme. “To achieve the best business outcomes, organizations need the flexibility to choose the AI model best suited to each problem,” said Chris Leone, executive vice president, applications development, Oracle.

Google, for its part, has been positioning Gemini as one option among many, offering over 200 models through its Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, including third-party models from Anthropic. The same logic showed up when Snowflake integrated Gemini into its Cortex AI, letting customers pick models without moving data.

Embedded AI and NetSuite

Beyond Agent Studio, Oracle plans to tap Gemini for embedded AI use cases in Fusion Applications and NetSuite, choosing the model where it delivers the best price-performance per scenario. NetSuite serves more than 44,000 customers across 220 countries and territories.

The additions complement Oracle’s existing developer offerings, which reach Gemini via OCI Enterprise AI through integration with the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
