Samsung is set to unveil its latest products on February 1st, during its first Unpacked event of 2023. Expectations are high for the new Galaxy S23 phone lineup to be the centerpiece, with rumors and teasers pointing to a new, improved camera system and higher performance.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is rumored to sport a 200-megapixel main camera and 8K@30FPS video capabilities. Samsung is using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is faster and more energy-efficient than its previous generation, to power the Galaxy S23 in every country.

In the past, Samsung’s Exynos chips have faced criticism for having a worse performance than its Snapdragon counterparts, and it seems the company has listened.

Leaked images suggest a flatter design and a 1TB storage option. The more mainstream Galaxy S23 and S23+ phones may also receive some upgrades, including a 12MP front camera and a larger battery, but no major changes.

There could be a Galaxy Book 3 Ultra coming

Samsung may also unveil a new laptop, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, which is rumored to feature an OLED screen with built-in touch. There may also be two other Galaxy Book models with improved performance and advanced display technology.

There is also speculation that the launch of the new Galaxy Tab S9 family may have been pushed back due to economic uncertainty. Or will they announce some tablets as well?

Likely no foldables will be present in the lineup

New earbuds may not be on the horizon, as Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds 2 two years ago. Overall, the Unpacked event promises to showcase Samsung’s latest and greatest, focusing on camera and performance upgrades for the Galaxy S23 family and a new laptop in the Galaxy Book line.

Stay tuned for Samsung’s official announcements to see what they have in store.

We do not anticipate that there will be new Galaxy Z foldable phones, Galaxy A budget phones, or Galaxy Watches this early into 2023. Those are usually announced later in the year.
