At the CES 2024 conference in early January, we might see an unusual device from Lenovo. Indeed, according to a leak, the company is announcing a Windows laptop whose screen is detachable in order to use it as an Android tablet.

The notebook would become part of the ThinkBook line, claims the rumour. Chinese social media account Apocalypse Chat Laptop has also obtained images of the device. These show the device functioning as a Windows laptop in normal mode. An image of the detached screen has also been published, showing the device looking like a regular tablet.

Besides the images and a brief description, there are few details about the potential hybrid Windows-Android device. The leak does not mention specifications, a price or a release date. We may learn more about it during the week of Jan. 8 through Jan. 12, 2024, when the CES conference occurs.

Lenovo had previously planned to release a similar device. During CES 2011, the company announced the IdeaPad U1 hybrid with LePad slate. Lenovo described the device: “unique two-in-one mobile device speaks Android and Windows.” However, the device has not been released.
