Cohesity strengthens resilience of organizations with cyber recovery tool

Cohesity Data Cloud received new features that improve the detection and recovery of security threats through GenAI. The features specifically target organizations that cannot afford to have a specialized cybersecurity team present in the company.

Cohesity Data Cloud is Cohesity’s AI-based data management platform. The company is now announcing features to better leverage that AI base. These include enhanced threat detection, a tool to help quickly reboot after an attack, and a clean-room design environment.

Advisory tool

The cyber recovery assistant helps companies respond quickly and confidently to indicated risks. Users gain access to a “guided incident response wizard” that includes tips for investigating an incident and subsequent restart.

The new clean-room design gives users a space to investigate a cyber incident. By isolating incidents quickly in this secure space, it also reduces the likelihood of a follow-up attack.

Innovating with AI

Cohesity acquired Veritas’ data protection business earlier this year. During that acquisition it was already mentioned the combined resources give greater potential to innovate with AI. The latest updates to the Data Cloud show how Cohesity is fulfilling that statement.

Data Cloud 7.2

Recently, Cohesity introduced version 7.2 of Data Cloud. That update brought support for OAuth 2.0 authentication in the Cluster APIs. That increases security by replacing passwords with access tokens. Furthermore, general support for NetApp SnapDiff v3 environments came in, allowing users to bring that data to Cohesity for more orderly data management.
