Lenovo announced the new ThinkCentre neo Ultra at the CES conference. The compact PC is “ready to tackle a new future with AI computing,” especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

To make this AI PC accessible to businesses in this segment, Lenovo is integrating several processors into the desktop. For example, the mini-PC has an Intel Core i9 processor on the Intel vPro Enterprise platform. In addition, the device features a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and a dedicated NPU. The ThinkCentre neo Ultra is further complemented by up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM.

Lenovo has managed to integrate these components into a mini-PC with dimensions of 195 mm (width) x 195 mm (depth) x 107 mm (height). The weight of the device is 3.25 kg. It makes the mini-pc suitable to be placed on most desks.

Thanks to its hardware, the desktop can handle heavy AI workloads. To support this, Lenovo has also paid attention to cooling. The PC uses a “triple thermal fan,” where air is drawn in from the top and expelled through the bottom.

Regarding connectivity, the ThinkCentre neo Ultra supports Wi-Fi 7 and can accommodate up to eight display ports for multitasking. Moreover, it is possible to expand memory and storage depending on a company’s needs.

AI

The ThinkCentre neo Ultra should provide the ideal foundation for AI. “Whether taking advantage of its AI capabilities to generate programming codes, creating images to reduce designer workload, crafting a jingle using an offline AI audio generator, conducting AI-driven live streaming,” Lenovo concludes.

The ThinkCentre neo Ultra will initially appear in the second quarter of 2024 for $1499 in the US. At a later date, it should become clear when and at what price the mini PC will come to Europe.
