Dell launched a new XPS 13 laptop and 2-in-1. The laptop is available immediately. The 2-in-1 will be available later this summer. Both models run on a 12th Gen Intel Core CPU.

The new XPS 13 is much lighter than the previous model (2021). A full battery lasts for twelve hours. The speakers have been redesigned. The model runs on a 12th Intel Core CPU and an integrated GPU.

Although performance is up to standard, the XPS 13 is less powerful than the XPS 13 Plus. The latter model was renewed earlier in the year. Although an XPS 13 Plus is more suitable for heavy applications, the normal XPS 13 weighs less. This makes the model excellent for travel.

Dell managed to reduce the weight by shrinking the motherboard smaller. The motherboard is almost twice as small as its predecessor. Dell also adapted the design. The XPS 13 is based on a new type of aluminium. The model is available in two shades: Sky and Umber. In addition to Windows, the XPS 13 is shipped with Ubuntu Linux 20.04.

XPS 13 2-in-1

The XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available later this summer. This model runs on a 12th Intel Core CPU as well. Most components are similar to the normal XPS 13. The design and display, however, are unique. The display supports touch, allowing the model to be used as a tablet.

Additionally, the 2-in-1 is the first XPS 13 to support 5G connectivity. The model includes eSIM technology, which allows you to connect to networks abroad without changing SIM cards. The 1080p front camera is adequate for video conferencing.
